The Lower South West Growers Group is holding an Agricultural Forum to inform the community of recent and proposed changes in legislation that is likely to affect the local agricultural industries.

The relevant Government Ministers & Opposition Ministers (or a Minister nominated representative) have been invited to speak and take part in Q & A.

The following items are to be individually addressed

• Proposed changes to water resource management with the new draft Water Reform Bill. Hon Simone McGurk MLA & Dr David Honey MLA
• Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Legislation and Repeal Bill 2023. Hon Dr Toni Buti MLA & Hon Neil Thomson MLC
• Update on the phase out of live sheep export, in particular effects on industry, community, and outcome of the Advisory Panel’s report due to be released in September. Hon Jackie Jarvis MLC & Hon Dr Steve Thomas MLC
• Emissions reduction and the Agricultural Sector. Hon Jackie Jarvis MLC & WA Nationals Candidate for the South West region, Louise Kingston for Hon Colin de Grussa MLC
